NZ Paragliding Trips:
What better way to spend your holidays! Our guided tours are
focused on hunting out the best quality flying we can. We will have a tentative itinerary, but with sufficient flexibility that plans can change if the weather tries to spoil our fun.
Queenstown and Wanaka are sufficiently close that we can travel from one to the other on a daily basis if necessary. Wanaka sites win the beauty competition, but Queenstown’s unbeatable for its reliability. Christchurch, the Craigieburn valley and Nelson Lakes are amongst the other places we could visit.
There are plenty of hike and fly opportunities for those that way inclined. It will be logistically easy to facilitate, particularly around Wanaka, if some people want to go for a hike, but others are looking for more conservative options.
Non flyable days will be spent doing alternative activities. We’ll facilitate as much as we can, whether it’s a day walk, a bungy jump or a trip to Milford Sound.
Our trips include a dedicated retrieve driver and a flying guide. Whilst it’s not an instructional trip, advice, coaching and help will be available to those who want it. Whilst food and accommodation is not included, the logistics associated with both are. It’s a busy time of year, but we will ensure appropriate accommodation is available wherever we happen to by. Once you book onto the tour, we’ll spend time understanding the type of accommodation you seek to make sure appropriate options are available.
We will have accommodation on standby in case the weather require us to change our plans.
New Zealand is ideal for your paragliding holidays and tours. It’s a superb location with a relatively small, amazing terrain and stunning mountains. Queenstown, the adrenalin capital, has no shortage of non-flying activities.
We’re extremely passionate about the paragliding New Zealand’s has to offer. We’d be happy to share our favourite spots and local knowledge to ensure you have a great trip. Contact us for more information. We’re more than happy to create a custom itinerary for your next trip.
Rob Hill, South Australia:
“I needed to put my thoughts in writing to express how much I enjoyed my amazing flying experience with Paraventures in NZ. The South Island Paragliding Tour 2014/2015 was absolutely amazing!!! Thank you so much for your advice, guidance and hospitality and for making the whole trip such a memorable and enjoyable experience. To open up your home to a bunch of people you had never met was so thoughtful and you made us all feel so welcome. You have a lovely home and Cardrona is a stunning location, as well as being ideally situated for the flying sites in both Wanaka & Queenstown. Your local knowledge of the flying sites and weather conditions was invaluable and really made the trip for both Karen and myself. I would not hesitate to recommend Paraventures to any PG pilots wanting to fly New Zealand. I am hoping to put together a video of my experiences to show at our next PG social in March (I will send you a link to it when it is online). I will be encouraging as many SA pilots as I can to join me for the same tour next Christmas and I am confident I can get a decent group together to make the trip next time!
So to sum up – a fantastic experience, epic flying, great hospitality, excellent local flying knowledge, helpful advice and coaching, making the whole trip a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend Paraventures to any PG pilot!! A huge thank you to you both for making our post Christmas & New Year period so much fun!!”
